I am part of a family of six who followed God's call to live on a ship, the Africa Mercy, in order to bring hope and healing to the poor of West Africa. Living here has shaped my character and strengthened my relationship with the LORD. Although my life journey has included excitement, adventure, frustration, monotony, joy, heartache, craziness, mercy, fun, pain, hope, and many other highs and lows, God has always come through for me in the little things and the big things. As I continue serving Jesus I invite you to join me, support me in prayer, and catch up on what is happening in my life from time to time.

This week's adventures

On Tuesday my mom, Eli, and I went to stay in a condo in a town called Birch Bay. On Wednesday my grandma and some of our cousins came up as well. We went to the beach and the water slides. On Wednesday evening, my cousin Jessica and I went back to my grandma's house while my brother, younger cousins, and my mom stayed another couple nights at the condo.

On Saturday my brother, my cousins Bayley and Jessica, and I went on a 5km mud run. We had to pay to enter, and the money went to an orphanage in Swaziland. We had a lot of fun running and climbing through the mud obstacles.

Today my brother, my mom, and I went to a museum of history and industry in Seattle with my cousins Jojo and Sam. It was pretty interesting, since I did not know much about Seattle's history. There was also some fun interactive touch screen exhibits.

Tomorrow my mom and I will fly to Texas to get my visa. Please pray for safe travel, favor with the officials, and success in getting a visa. Thanks for your help!

Washington

Sadly, my time with Bethany in North Carolina has ended. I had a great time and am thankful for the Rolland family's help, hospitality, and friendship. After some complications with travel, including missing a flight, I have now arrived in Seattle with God's help. I, as well as my mom and brother Eli, am staying with my grandma. I don't know what all is planned, but I'm sure I will have fun with my relatives. I will give you another update in a week or so about what exciting things I do here in Washington.

I am here!

So, I have been in North Carolina for the past week, having way to much fun to post on my blog. I arrived safely after several flight delays and am thankful that none of my flights got cancelled. I am staying with the Rollands, a family who used to live on the ship. My friend Bethany and I have been having a lot of fun together. Here are some pictures of our various adventures.

I tried to put some videos of us on rides, but unfortunately they would not upload. There was one particularly funny clip in which the roller coaster went around a sharp turn and a southern man yelled "yee-haw." As you can see, I am having a great summer. I appreciate your prayers and hope that you are all having wonderful summers also.
